Understand pricing plans and record caps
Problem
You need to understand which QuillDock plan fits your source size, what changes by plan, or why QuillDock is blocking preflight or publish because of record capacity.
Who this is for
Operators or billing owners reviewing QuillDock pricing, trial behavior, record caps, or an over-cap message in Plan & Access, Home, or Preflight.
Launch pricing at a glance
| Plan | Price | Record cap |
|---|---|---|
Starter | $19/mo | 500 |
Growth | $39/mo | 2,000 |
Pro | $79/mo | 5,000 |
Scale | $149/mo | 10,000 |
Scale is a hidden/manual plan for larger approved accounts.
What changes by plan
At launch, QuillDock plans differ by record cap only.
That means active plans still include the same supported product surface:
- Google Sheets and Airtable
- manual publish
- scheduling when the current schedule posture allows it
- collection bootstrap
- backup-before-write
- restore from an existing backup
- stale review
Trial behavior
- QuillDock offers a
14-dayfree trial. - The trial uses
Growthcapacity, which means up to2,000records. - Trial-eligible sites use the
Start 14-day trialCTA inPlan & Access.
What counts as a record
QuillDock treats one source row or source record as one record for cap checks.
For example:
- one Google Sheets row counts as one record
- one Airtable record counts as one record
QuillDock checks this against the current trusted preflight snapshot.
What happens when the source is over cap
If the trusted source snapshot is above the current cap:
- QuillDock keeps the current source and configuration visible
- QuillDock blocks preflight completion and write paths
- QuillDock shows upgrade guidance to the next fitting tier
For sources larger than 5,000 rows or records, QuillDock may direct you to the hidden/manual Scale path instead of a normal self-serve upgrade.
What does not change when a site is under a lower plan
Lower plans do not remove:
- Airtable access
- daily scheduling when the current schedule posture allows it
- bootstrap
- restore
- stale review
Those are not launch tier gates.
Related billing and access behavior
- Read-only mode is caused by inactive entitlement, not by being on
Starter. - Restore and run history remain available even when the site is read-only because billing is inactive.
When to contact support
Contact support if:
- QuillDock shows the wrong plan after a completed Wix billing change
- the record-cap message does not match the latest preflight you just ran
- billing is active in Wix but QuillDock still blocks writes as if the plan is inactive
